Nikolice
At about 30 km from the district's centre Bilisht, this village is one of the remotest in the area. The village was an important Episcopalian centre in the Middle Ages, and was famous for its goldsmiths. The glory of economic development is gone, although the village has immense tourist potential as its nature remains intact and untouched by destruction, especially logging. The village surroundings provide the sources for the Devoll river.
